SEO Coaching

Most SEO coaching is a course dressed up as mentoring. This is neither.

Search "SEO coaching" and most of what comes back is the same thing: a course-seller with a coaching page bolted on, or a mentoring platform that matches you with whoever's available, junior included. Fine if you want to learn the basics. Not much use if you're already doing the job and just need someone senior to check your thinking.

That's who this is for. I've built an SEO team from zero at the BBC, mentored the team at Superdry through a live migration, and taught client staff my own page-2 quick-wins method so it keeps working after I've gone. If you're the only SEO in the building, or the marketing manager who's ended up owning it, a fortnightly hour with someone who's actually sat in your seat changes what your decisions are worth.

Who this is for

Most people who book this are the "team of one" - the in-house SEO or marketing manager who owns SEO solo, with no one senior in the building to sanity-check a call before it goes to the board or the dev backlog. Some are business owners doing their own SEO alongside everything else. Either way, the problem's the same: no second opinion, and decisions that are hard to unwind if they're wrong.

What we actually cover

Sessions are built around whatever's live for you that fortnight, not a syllabus. That usually means:

- Prioritisation - what to actually work on this month, not everything that could theoretically be better - Building the stakeholder case - how to get budget or buy-in for the work you already know needs doing - Audit reviews - a second pair of eyes on someone else's findings, or your own, before you commit to them - Migration decisions - the calls that are expensive to get wrong and hard to reverse once they're made - Career development - where an in-house SEO career actually goes, and what to prioritise learning next - A second opinion before a big call - sometimes that's the whole session, and that's fine

How it runs

Video call, an hour, no lock-in. That's a standing principle of mine across every part of the business, not just this - you keep working with me because it's useful, not because you're tied into a contract. I send notes after every session so what we covered doesn't just live in your memory of the call.

What it costs

Single sessions start from £150. If you want it running properly - two sessions a month plus async questions in between when something comes up outside the call - that's from £400 a month. Your first session is discounted, because the easiest way to know if this is useful is to just have one.

Most in-house SEOs get good at their job with nobody ever checking their thinking against someone who's done it at scale. That's not a knock on them - it's just how in-house SEO usually works, one person, no peer review. This is the fix for that. Not a course. Not a generic mentor matched off a platform. Someone who's built the team, run the migration, and made the calls you're being asked to make now.
